It continues through most of the summer, although the July and August Gloom just don't rhyme as well.

Lately the gloom has been incredibly thick, and has threatened to spill over the coastal mountain range into my sunny valley.
Back, back, damn you.

Yes! Back!
Looks just like our hills here dividing the east bay valleys from the San Francisco bay! We appreciate getting the gloom rolling in overnight to cool things off, then it burns off or rolls back before noon leaving a nice temperate day.
Oh, it still comes inland for us! we are about 4-5 miles from the coast, and each morning we are socked in with fog.
Of course, since I work right AT the beach, my days are constant fog. It clears between 2 and 6.
