I'm Really Not As Clueless as You Think

I often joke about not knowing what Ernest is doing. Rest assured, that is a calculated decision based on years of parenting experience. I'm not neglecting him, I'm allowing him to stretch his wings.  He has always been the child who knows what he's doing.  The man in the little boy's body.  The voice of reason and competence.

Even before he was two, he could:

Load the Dishwasher



Control the Remote



Catch the Ball



Wash the Car



and Fill Some Big Shoes.

that one is a smart kid!
On the cake, been there.... it happens.
Worse case here - husband reading the SALT wrong on a pickle recipe. There is not enough washing that can fix that.

I think my oldest 2 boys raised the 3rd one and the 4th one is pretty much raising himself.
