What, a 40% chance of rain drove them away? (There was not even a sprinkle until long after their listed time.) I am SO disappointed.
smalltownmehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10857871195417461235noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33395706.post-37467332067317354612014-02-26T08:25:26.165-08:002014-02-26T08:25:26.165-08:00I haven't bought them in years either --the la...I haven't bought them in years either --the last time we did, the boxes sat around open for over a year. None of us liked them enough to eat them. However, I do make a straight donation to troops I see selling cookies (they don't come to our house in the boonies). That way I know they're actually getting some money, since they make chump-change on selling cookies. I realized a while ago that the thing I disliked about GS was the emphasis on selling, so this make an end-run around it, while still supporting the other things they do that are good for the girls. God, I'm preachy today.Cassihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04058787761575567910noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33395706.post-25431729796421613782014-02-26T06:53:57.577-08:002014-02-26T06:53:57.577-08:00D takes care of our cookie needs--his whole office...D takes care of our cookie needs--his whole office knows he's a pushover for a cute kid selling anything.
This is probably good since no one (except for one pair of determined Jehovah's Witnesses) ever makes it down the length of our driveway. Instead, when I see a troop selling cookies outside a grocery store or elsewhere, I give them a cash donation.Jen on the Edgehttp://www.jenontheedge.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33395706.post-71542987612025015252014-02-25T21:16:51.196-08:002014-02-25T21:16:51.196-08:00Way to go!
I haven't had a single Girl Scout ...Way to go!
I haven't had a single Girl Scout come to my door. It's sad. Luckily, a facebook friend (she of the Dr. Who snowman) offered free shipping with an early order. They are being sent to someone else's house so I don't eat them all (also so my boys don't eat them all and forget to share with me).
Still, the next time I have trouble googling something, I'm going to contact YOU!Karen (formerly kcinnova)https://www.blogger.com/profile/16705613736966783261noreply@blogger.com
