Thematic Photographic: Soft Light

Carmi at Written, Inc. hosts Thematic Photographic. This week's theme is soft light.

Last Friday, we had a very cloudy evening and the sky was filled with soft light at sunset.  I was trying to get some sunset pictures when one of our regular cranes came in for a landing.  They roost in the pine trees in our back yard.  Once, I counted as many as 20 of them.

    Superb photo of a superb bird. When you say it's a crane do you mean a sand crane? I ask because these are the only ones I've seen.
