We enjoyed Ernest's piano recital Sunday night. Unfortunately I had forgotten to put the memory stick back in the camera, so I feverishly deleted the few photos from the camera's internal memory and managed to take this short video...

Wow. He's very good. And he looked relaxed. At least, his body language did -- I couldn't actually see his face. :-)

ReplyDeleteYes, he doesn't seem to suffer from stage fright or performance anxiety.
He also doesn't own any button shirts that fit -- had to borrow that one from his brother!
I'm really impressed! He plays with wonderful phrasing and feeling.

ReplyDeleteHis career? For many years (and he's only 13), he's said he wants to study architecture at Cal Poly.
ReplyDeleteHe wants to perform as a hobby. Acting, music...who knows.
I love that his whole world is wide open right now.
