Pants Kingdom
What the ?? you are asking? I don't know either. A friend in Taiwan sent this to the Handy Husband today. Click on the picture for a better view.

ReplyDeleteLOL! When I lived in Korea we saw all kinds of strange things -- like the cute little shoes that had all the different euphemisms for "fart" on them. And in Japan, the store called "American Freaks" that sold gangsta style clothes.

Have just had the resident "i can read japanese" guys look at that and that was a picture taken in china. since the kanji (characters) are basically the same, they can usually get the basic meaning. but this one? no clue. sorry.

ReplyDeleteActually the word for "bird" in Chinese is also slang for... well, I guess you got it. So that's it, the pun works perfectly well in Chinese. BTW, we have the same sex metaphor in Italian (English is not far from that anyway), so I'm looking forward to see this ad in our local stores :-)
