Not my age, I'm past that.
No, its 45 days of school (work) left. 3/4 of the way through the year. Whoo-hoo.
I am burnt out. It doesn't help that the students are working hard at misbehaving for the sub. (Teacher is on maternity leave.) I wish they worked that hard on their math facts. One boy moved away for 2 months. I assessed him when he came back. He hadn't learned any math while he'd been gone. He didn't even remember having math at his other school, although he remembered having breakfast, library, and P.E.
It doesn't help my mood that Frank will be done on May 15, Ernest on May 27, while I slog away in the trenches until June 9. They both have spring break before me, too.

Well, enough of my little pity party. Homer has flopped on the floor by my feet, indicating he wants petting. Ah, Homer, you always make me feel better.
What makes you feel better?
Beer. And snuggling my kids.
ReplyDeleteWell, I was going to say warm weather and sunshine, but then I saw Green Girl's answer so I'm changing mine to beer, too.
ReplyDeletehaving time to do absolutely nothing!!!!
ReplyDeleteI feel your pain- my husband will be in school until mid June thanks to all these lovely snow days. Boooo.
A 2.5 hour nap helped immensely!
ReplyDeleteA great day at school is so energizing, but a terrible day just really takes it out of you.
