Feeding Time

Of course I admit my cats are spoiled.  But I'm not always the one who does it.  They are used to getting fed at 6:30 a.m. on weekdays, when the Handy Husband gets up to go to work.

This causes problems on the weekends when one wants to sleep a bit later.

Homer woke me bright and early last Saturday.  I left this note for the rest of the household, because sometimes when Homer encounters the next person to get up, he lies and says he hasn't been fed.

And there he was at 10:00, looking up at me with those big kitty eyes, saying, "You wouldn't have a little extra sausage there for me, would you?"

Why yes, I did.

  1. oh sweet little kitty....Spike is our third cat. WE KNOW about cats and their food, therefore his breakfast is at 10 each day (realistically 9 because of his begging which begins at 7) so that he does not wake us at 4 am every day like our first 2 cats did...

  4. Out cat (Gwen) doesn't just look up at you, she puts her paws up on your leg, then uses one to paw at your arm and get your attention. I happen to find it adorable, but then everything she does is adorable. Which is true of most cats :-)

I am glad that Cleopatra likes to sleep in late.

  6. Homer. He's a handsome guy. I'd fall for that "give me your sausage" face too.
