I often joke about not knowing what Ernest is doing. Rest assured, that is a calculated decision based on years of parenting experience. I'm not neglecting him, I'm allowing him to stretch his wings. He has always been the child who knows what he's doing. The man in the little boy's body. The voice of reason and competence.
Even before he was two, he could:
Load the Dishwasher
Control the Remote
Catch the Ball
Wash the Car
and Fill Some Big Shoes.
Sounds like he had it all figured out from the start!
ReplyDeletegenius!
ReplyDeletewhat is it with toddler boys and dishwashers? if i had a dime for every time......
that one is a smart kid!
ReplyDeleteOn the cake, been there.... it happens.
Worse case here - husband reading the SALT wrong on a pickle recipe. There is not enough washing that can fix that.
Melt my heart...
ReplyDeleteI think my oldest 2 boys raised the 3rd one and the 4th one is pretty much raising himself.
