I practice a no-stress Thanksgiving.
Serve dinner at 4, so I have all day to cook.
Invite a small group of people.
Simplify the menu.
Have awesome family who help prep and clean.
Wash up as I go.
Watch Charlie Brown and Arrested Development.
Laugh at my cats: one of them got on the coffee table and started tapping her paw on the treat bag. Message received loud and clear.

The fact you took pictures of the turkey and the platter are impressive. (I managed neither.) You've changed your layout! (It's been too long since I've been here, hasn't it?)
ReplyDeleteSounds like you strike a good balance for this holiday. That vintage plate! I do like it!
ReplyDeleteThought I posted yesterday but clearly I did not!
ReplyDeleteYou are a better woman than me -- I didn't take any pictures of the food, the table, or the people around the table eating the food. Scrapbooker fail. (Not that I've been scrapbooking lately...)
Love the historical photo of the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade!
