Yes, drink your water.
Ernest was laid low during cross country practice yesterday...not enough fluids! It was still hot, but fortunately not our worst day.
As I waited to pick him up, I saw him walking wobbily towards the parking lot without really seeing me. He went on to get his clothes from the gym and his coach introduced herself. I guess he'd severely faded during the run. But they were right next to her house so she made him lie down and drink gatorade. When I picked him up she said he was quite a lot better. She said, make him rest and not do homework, "even though he'll want to". How cool a teacher is that! I put him to bed with some advil and more gatorade. But after he got up and ate dinner, he did the home work anyway.
That's so Ernest.

YES! I drink a ton of water each day.
Bossy loves drinking water! Only problem: all that peeing.
Oh no, poor guy!
My oldest son forgot to hydrate one day when he was at a water polo clinic. He was in the pool, in 100 degree temps, for 5 hours. He had heat stroke, went temporarily blind and fell on top of my like a 6 foot, 200 lb. tree. It was pretty darn scary.
So yes, hydration is a great thing.
Good teacher. Good Earnest.
Oh My!! WATER!!!
When I was a 6th grader, I got dehydrated in the summer and spent about 10 days in the hospital...an experience that I learned well from. Now...I try to drink about 2 liters a day (especially in the summer)...and yes, like Bossy says...all that peeing!! ;-)
*love your new background...I buy Japanese paper that looks almost exactly the same...with dried flowers mixed in with the paper!! very nice!!!
