Pet Peeves #429

Now I know many of my fine friends share my dislike of typographical errors.

But please, for pity's sake, do not mark them IN INK in a library book!

I see edits in pencil sometimes, I find it amusing.....

I like it when people make a note in very light pencil. It makes me feel both complicit and superior, somehow.

But oh, never in ink!

I'm with you on the library book. However, I'll admit that it took all of my self control not to mail the new 2015 season symphony brochure BACK to my orchestra with the errors circled in red ink. Seriously. They used the phrase, "without further adieu". Really? Even if you use the correct turn of phrase, can't you come up with anything more creative? Still not as bad as the year they misspelled several of the composer's names. Ugh.
