Winter arrived with a vengeance here yesterday. But it was like winter in South Carolina, rather than northern Illinois. We had about 3 inches of ice accumulation from sleet. I've never seen the grass covered up with inches of ice here before. In addition to various accidents around town, the inflated dome gym of Emma's high school collapsed. Although, in the email we got from the high school, they said it "deflated rapidly" :-) Semantics.
Hey, you're almost as cold as us! Back in Northern Virginia, the daffodils are blooming in my friends' gardens. Crazy, crazy weather. I'll keep my foot of snow, thank you very much!
