The Egg Project

I finished that project I teased about a while ago.  I'm not completely satisfied, but at least I finished it.  I would have liked some tighter branchier twigs  But this is what I could find in the back yard.  I have at least half a can of pink spray paint left over -- let me at those classic metal yard chairs!

A few of the eggs have faces.  Were they family portraits?  Who knows?
Maybe this was me?  I do have nice eyebrows.

Back in 2007, this small beard could have been Frank.

This bigger beard could have been the Handy Husband.

And undoubtedly, this curly hair was Ernest.

Happy Easter!

Cassi Renee has some beautiful eggs, too.

So pretty! I love the way this came out. I think I'll try to make one for next year.

Are these blown? And how are they attached? Is that a button on their tops?

I love how colorful the whole thing is!

i started doing an Easter Tree a few years ago when the boys sort of lost interest in the whole "let's decorate these eggs and then hide and look for them" idea. making decorations for our entrance way seems more fun to them, for some reason.
since it is cherry and peach and plum blossoms season here, i try to find branches that are blooming. (this year i used peach!)spraying the branches is a great idea!!
the blown eggs i use are actually from a few years ago (i pack them very well, obviously!)
i do love this kind of tree....it celebrates spring perfectly!!!

I love your Easter tree!
I'm going to "pin" your photo at the top so I can remember to do this next year. (I might have to start working on it much, much sooner if I expect it to be done in time.)
