Here is Where I Get Political

I don't like controversy. Not at all. But I'm very disturbed by the Republican vice-presidential candidate. So I am stepping out of my safety zone here. Don't send me hate mail.

Here's an excerpt from that article:
Stein says that as mayor, Palin continued to inject religious beliefs into her policy at times. "She asked the library how she could go about banning books," he says, because some voters thought they had inappropriate language in them. "The librarian was aghast." That woman, Mary Ellen Baker, couldn't be reached for comment, but news reports from the time show that Palin had threatened to fire Baker for not giving "full support" to the mayor.

Banning books? How dare she? Are we in the Dark Ages, or the Inquisition? If you don't want to read them, don't check them out!

I won't even go into some of the other things I've read.

I'm just fuming here. I'm pro-CHOICE, in all areas of life, not just the one that causes controversy. I choose what I read. I choose how I school my children. I choose how to live my life. (Pretty darn carefully.) I choose who I will vote for.

I choose OBAMA.

Rant over.

Testify!

I'm with you -- Palin is disturbing on so many levels. I cannot imagine what McCain was thinking when he chose her.

Sadly, according to AOL's on-line poll, McCain is still in the lead by a large margin, in every state. Don't know what it will take to change some closed minds.
We have a national disaster waiting in the wings.

I am continually in shock as I find out more about her. How can someone who is Mayor in a town of 8000 be qualified to be VP of the United States? Add to this the fact that she just had a baby, her teenage daughter just announced a pregnancy of her own, and she says in an interview with NPR "I never wanted this job" when referring to the vice presidency, and this is a recipe for disaster. I have come to the conclusion that McCain has no friends left anywhere in the lower 48 and he was forced to go to someone who is not as well versed in politics. This was a desperate move on his part, and while I've threatened Canada before, this time I mean it.

I think about the McCain/Palin disaster and smoke begins to pour from my ears. Canada sound great since the Bush administration will likely take South America!

Have you read the Anne Kilkenny letter about her? I sure hope the Democrats get serious about using the FACTS to educate voters about this nightmare.
