I'll just share this National Geographic video (sorry about the commercial at the beginning.)
I hope he sees a blue-footed booby. I think his grandfather (MorFar) gave us this book.
My dad (the aforementioned grandfather) has been to the Galapagos before, along with many other amazing places in the world. I love that my sons are traveling in their grandfather's footsteps, and also making their own way.

Did you think to suggest to him to keep a travel diary?
He's required to keep a journal as part of the educational aspect of the trip.
