The Hats of London

Thanks to Gary's comment the other day, I am featuring hats today!  I saw a lot of hats in addition to the darling little Madeline school children.

Historical hats in the Tower of London...

And on real people too!

Everyone should have a tiara.  (Notice that the queen is looking right at me!)

The bobbies look quite sharp.

Bowlers were popular with the men.

And the women's hats were fascinating.

You could even rent a fascinator, if you desired.

Love the hats.

When we were there last time, we were at Windsor on the day of an investiture ceremony. The hats were incredible!

The Queen! Renting a fascinator would be pretty cool...

love the hat in the second to last photo...but that one that looks like a headband with a long feather attached? I'd keep thinking it was a bug flying around my head LOL!

Quite a tradition we Americans have all but nearly left behind and I'm pretty much glad of it. But would be fun to be out hat sighting. I love seeing the uniformed hats. To wonder which of those uniforms Queen Eliz I gazed upon!
