English was interesting today, said Frank.
How so? I asked.
Somebody passed out in the front of the class. The teacher called Campus
Security, they called an ambulance, and we all had to evacuate the classroom for a half hour.
Well, that was a different kind of interesting than I was expecting. He also
spent another $41 on books. That's close to $600 for books so far. He was smiling and talked to me and carried my groceries into the kitchen, so I guess he had a good day.

Textbooks are amazingly expensive. I spent $134 on one book. Last semester I had one book that cost $278. Ouch!
Isn't it ironic how when we're young, getting evacuated and missing class time makes for a good day, but when we're older, we get anal about missing class time when I'm paying for it. Wait...maybe that's just my analness showing again.
I'm at 28 books and $700. Let's not mention my son's books--then I'd have to total it and I might pass out.
What is Frank studying? My husband (the engineer) ALWAYS spends loads on books, even now. Just last week I ordered two books for him. Total cost? $335.
I'm glad he had a good day!
