Smalltown Changes

When I went to the bank to convert my change the other day, I was shocked when I walked up to the entrance. They had new doors. Airlock doors, with a metal detector. What's my small town coming too?

And there's a new stoplight in the small town to the West.

What has changed in your town lately? Good or bad, please tell me!

I was talking to my mom the other day and she said that the court house is getting some changes...for a town of less than 2,000 (with 5 even smaller towns surrounding it), the building is going through a bit of the same thing...and you must have special permission to enter.

But...we still have no stop lights (like with all three colors!) anywhere in the county!!

They're in the process of renovating one of the old textile mills into a combination of office/retail/living space. It seems to be being well-done & is very exciting for the community.

They did a "chip and seal" on the state highway that runs in front of my house. Now I have gravel dust everywhere. I can't hang clothes on the line and I can't open my windows to blow the stink out. boo!!

What's changed in my immediate area is the amount of building/construction and the dust/dirt it has created. I feel like I vacuum every day now.
